PROGRESS THROUGH LIGHTNESS
BIONIC LEIBER SEAT STRUCTURE
For us, lightweight design is not an end in itself, but a mission. We draw on our extensive expertise to make key components in a wide range of applications both lighter and stronger. A prime example of this is the bionically optimized LEIBER seat structure, which offers significant advantages over standard components. Our extensive experience in the forming and machining of aluminum—in short, our AluBility®—is evident in every step along the entire value chain. See for yourself!

LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN
While maintaining the same structural performance, LEIBER lightweight components can reduce weight by up to 15% compared to fully machined variants. This example shows a standard machined part (left) compared to a bionically optimized LEIBER seat leg (right) for use in seat structures for commercial aircraft.

MATERIAL OPTIMIZATION
The ideal material for high-strength lightweight aluminum construction: application-optimized LEIBER brand alloys, such as AluSpace®—an alloy based on EN AW-7175 and specifically designed for the aerospace industry—offer improved properties in terms of yield strength, tensile strength, and fracture toughness compared to standard values.
In addition, we perform product-specific in-house heat treatment, such as T79.

RAPID PROTOTYPING

FORGING ADVANTAGE

MATERIAL EFFICIENCY

DEVELOPMENT & SIMULATION
Reliability at the core—from concept to ready-to-install product: Thanks to in-house FE analysis, crash simulation, and topology optimization, rapid iterations are possible—without the need for external interfaces.
Lightweight design withstands even the most extreme loads: Crash simulation of a LEIBER seat structure in accordance with EASA CS-25

QUALITY? STANDARD!
We take our high standards very seriously. That is why LEIBER is certified according to:
IATF 16949 | EN ISO 50001
EN 9100 | EN ISO 14001
… and we’re also committed to sustainable business practices!

PRODUCTION INDUSTRIALIZATION
At LEIBER, lightweight construction starts with one-off pieces and knows virtually no upper limits. From prototypes to small-batch production and on to mass production.
LEIBER bietet Ihnen eine außergewöhnliche Fertigungstiefe für die Realisierung ihrer Leichtbauprojekte
- from the simulation and development of components to their manufacture
- in the production of components across all stages of the value chain: Forging, Machining and anodizing, Assembly.
Upon request, we can even supply ready-to-install assemblies, including testing, from validated processes.
