HALL EXPANSION CREATES SPACE FOR FLEXIBILITY
RUDA ŚLĄSKA (jw) | The LEIBER Group has expanded its Polish location. The addition of a 2,500 m² hall will not only substantially increase the logistics and office space, but also represents an important step in the further development of the subsidiary LEIBER Poland.
The aim of the extension is to make the site's work processes even more efficient. This will create shorter logistics routes and optimise the interaction between the individual work areas, which are now being relocated and moved into, through a logical room layout. ‘With the new building, not only are departments moving closer together at LEIBER Poland, but so are people, skills and ideas,’ outlines Simon Balk, Managing Director of LEIBER Poland GmbH. ‘This proximity creates the basis for even stronger cooperation and sustainable growth.’ For the Polish LEIBER employees, the inauguration had a further symbolic meaning: LEIBER Poland also celebrated its 30th anniversary in July 2025. The hall extension therefore also visibly consolidates the successful German-Polish cooperation at LEIBER, which began in 1995.
Expansion of the site – an investment in the entire company
The inauguration of the new hall comes at a time of general economic uncertainty. For some time now, changing global conditions have had a particularly adverse effect on the export-oriented German economy. Competitive pressure is increasing and the economic scope is becoming more limited. Nevertheless, an overly conservative approach is not the solution: ‘We have carefully considered the decision to expand the Polish site – naturally from the perspective of the company as a whole. High-quality forged aluminium components, which are used in various areas of application, have a bright future. The expansion will make us more flexible and capable of action. This also helps us in the cooperation between our home location in Emmingen-Liptingen and production here in Ruda Śląska. All in all, the investment therefore serves our company as a whole,’ emphasised the two managing directors of the LEIBER Group, Dr Rolf Leiber and Martin Müller, at the ceremony.
Owner family attends ceremony
As a sign of the close connection between the owner family and the workforce, senior partner Horst Leiber (Dr Rolf Leiber's father) and Andreas Leiber (Dr Rolf Leiber's brother) also attended as chairman of the company advisory board. According to co-managing director Martin Müller, this sends a deliberate signal: ‘Approachability and personal presence are an integral part of LEIBER's corporate culture. Management and staff are therefore closer together than in other companies. Family businesses thrive on this special attitude. At its core are closeness and mutual responsibility. This creates cohesion and promotes stability, especially in challenging times.’

As part of the expansion, the façade of the LEIBER site in Ruda Śląska was also given a new finish. The new hall was added to the existing production complex and is easily recognisable from above thanks to its lighter roofing colour compared to the existing building.
