LEIBER`S OFFSPRING IN DRIVER`S SEATS
TUTTLINGEN | Bright minds and hard-working hands are in demand everywhere. Pupils in particular are being courted for an apprenticeship or degree programme - for example at the training exchange in Tuttlingen.
LEIBER's trainees and students presented themselves highly motivated on both days in the Tuttlingen town hall. The young ‘Leichtmacher’ approached the visitors with commitment. Through personal conversations and openness, they provided the young visitors and their parents with authentic experiences and were happy to give tips. Personnel officer Carolin Bischoff, who also works as a commercial trainer at LEIBER, was very pleased with the performance. ‘Our trainees are the best advertisement for training or studying at LEIBER - real ambassadors,’ she praised.
Impressions to go: LEIBÄREN and other giveaways in demand
As a souvenir of these first contacts with the LEIBER world of light manufacturing, visitors to the stand were even able to take another brand representative with them: the LEIBÄR made of plush. Another giveaway was also very popular. Laser engraving was used to turn simple ballpoint pens into personalised promotional gifts. And this is not an end in itself, but rather a link to practical training at LEIBER, as technical trainer Enes Sulejmanovic explains: ‘In a highly technical environment such as aluminium forming and processing, a company must always be up to date. We also incorporate this into our training.’ For example, LEIBER uses collaborative learning robots, 3D printers and laser engraving machines in its in-house training centre ‘Talentschmiede’ to enable trainees and students to work with such technologies.
Politicians get to know the possibilites of lightweight design
At the start of the training fair, prominent politicians from Baden-Württemberg also came to see the exhibiting companies. At the LEIBER stand, the two Managing Directors Dr Rolf Leiber and Martin Müller informed the guests about the wide range of possible applications for LEIBER lightweight components. A high-end motorbike from a German premium manufacturer, for whom LEIBER has been producing key lightweight components for many years, served as an attractive demonstration object. This enabled the political representatives to see for themselves that there are also other attractive traditional employers in the region, which is traditionally strongly characterised by medical technology.
Professionalisation of the trade fair booth
For the LEIBER Group, the ‘Ausbildungsbörse’ is a fixed date. There is hardly any other event where interested parties can find out so much about training and study opportunities in the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg region. For this reason, the specialist for the forming and processing of aluminium presented itself in a new look: The design of the exhibition stand was adapted to the appearance of the sales fairs, so that LEIBER now also ties in with the professional external presentation of the major aluminium industry events at recruiting events.
