OPENNESS ATTRACTS INTEREST
LEIBER Jpb Application Day attracts visitors from the region
Extraordinary times call for special measures. Driven by this spirit, the first LEIBER Applicant Day took place last Saturday. The aim was to recruit employees for the machining departments. Here, the demand for skilled labour is particularly high.
Forging and machining expertise under one roof
Following the motto "High-tech machines looking for people", respectable things were organised in a short space of time across all departments: On a tour of the machining centres, visitors were able to experience live that LEIBER not only stands for excellent forging, but also for outstanding turning and machining expertise.
Openness and personal contact at eye level
On the tours, mentors accompanied the interested visitors and guided them from station to station. LEIBER specialists were on hand at these special production highlights with their concentrated knowledge. Transparent and at proverbial eye level with the visitors, our colleagues explained why they like to let the chips fly at LEIBER. At every stop, this "human factor" was intended to spread the spark of enthusiasm from our lightweight engineers to the participants. The exclusive insights into our company were rounded off by display tables with exhibits and information displays.
Encouraging response
The efforts put into the preparations were worth it. At the end of the day, Managing Director Dr. Rolf Leiber and all those involved from the Supply Chain, Innovation, Industrial Engineering, LEAN, Human Resources and Marketing departments were very satisfied with the response from visitors. Last but not least, this first LEIBER Applicant Day is also a valuable blueprint whose experiences will form the basis for further events.about 30 "alumni" visited the production at the Emmingen-Liptingen site.
At the end of the day, the current managing partner Dr. Rolf Leiber invited the guests to a cosy get-together with cool drinks and delicious sausage or cheese salad. Incidentally, this is also a certainty that may connects generations: “If you feel tired in the evening hours, eat sausage salad, it really empowers!”
For the first time, the LEIBER Group, headquartered in Emmingen-Liptingen, opened its production facilities for a job application day specifically for turning and machining professionals.

Even in a state-of-the-art machine park, the human factor should not be underestimated: LEIBER specialists were the backbone of the event concept with their first-hand information.
Based on the wide range of applications for LEIBER products, product exhibits illustrated how excellent forged parts are further processed under the same roof using state-of-the-art machining.
LEAN was also passionately promoted at LEIBER.
The LEIBÄR, the brand and popular symbol of the "Leichtmacher" from Emmingen-Liptingen, was also a must.
