LEIBER APPRENTICE RECEIVES AWARD FROM THE GERMAN FORGING ASSOCIATION
STUTTGART | Steven Stump, who is currently completing his apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic at the LEIBER Group, has been honoured with the "Azubi-Award” from the Industrieverband Massivumformung e.V. (IMU). The award ceremony took place at the CastForge trade fair in Stuttgart.
"You just have to keep at it" - that's how casual the answer to the secret of success can sound. Steven Stump had exactly this tip at the ready after being presented with the 2024 “Azubi-Award” by Thomas Hüttenhein, Chairman of the IMU Executive Board. He is therefore currently one of the three best trainees in our industrial sector. The annual prize is endowed with 1000 euros and recognises outstanding achievements by industrial trainees from companies in the German forging industry.
Steven was recommended for the award not only because of his excellent theoretical and practical knowledge as part of his vocational qualification as an industrial mechanic. The laudation also emphasised Steven's commitment for the Youth and Apprenticeship Representation at LEIBER, who is always ready to listen to the concerns of others.
LEIBER Head of Innovation Andreas Kroner and Joachim Schmid, training manager of the “LEIBER Talentschmiede”, the industrial training centre at the headquarters in Emmingen-Liptingen, were also visibly proud. "We are delighted with Steven about his "Trainee Award". He stands for commitment and strong social skills over a long distance. You can't just win awards with these. They also symbolise the spirit with which young people pave a positive path for the future."
As a sign of his potential, Steven will complete his training ahead of schedule on 1 August and support LEIBER Leichtmacher as a maintenance specialist. Alongside his training, he has also acquired an additional qualification as an electrician.
